twitter fragmentation
I like Kent Newsome. Besides the fact he has good taste in the blogs he reads (mine!), he seems to carve out his own way amongst the goat tracks on paddock blogosphere and stick to it. Recently he developed another of his own guides to direct his twitter use and is only going to followContinueContinue reading “twitter fragmentation”
Exceptional grace
In so many ways, this is a masterful expression of existence by Doc, if for no other reason than its succinct treatment of a complex subject. The older I get, the more I see life as the exception rather than the rule. Those gone outnumber those here, all of whom will live one speck ofContinueContinue reading “Exceptional grace”
Bruce Sterling in one day
One days take-aways from one days reading and listening crammed inbetween one days travel and one days work. Bruce Sterling @ IDEA 2006 * architectures of participation * mass dis-intermediated production * participative information architecture * If you cut up the present, the future bleeds through. Reality is sometimes…..
Yes, Stranger than Fiction. (No Signal) Photo by Whistling in the Dark I just got back from seeing the film Stranger Than Fiction. I state upfront I’m not a Will Ferrell fan and have come to expect shallow, overstated slapstick which quite frankly leaves me feeling empty. But this movie is different. It is aContinueContinue reading “Reality is sometimes…..”
Share Overlap Connect
Well it seems too much is happenning in my life at present. Which annoys me. It annoys me because I desire connection and in the world of connection sharing is key….another word I spin on that sharing meme is openness. But it takes time to share. And right now I don’t have time to share.ContinueContinue reading “Share Overlap Connect”

Melbourne 2007
Been in Melbourne last few days on holiday. Nice city, reasonably easy to navigate, very scenic. As usual there’s a few caveots – see more on lifekludger. While at southbank I met Cameron Reilly, esteemed chief honcho and CEO of the Podcast Network, where our extraordinary everyday lives show is hosted….here’s a pic of theContinueContinue reading “Melbourne 2007”

Todays Quote – Identity
From JP Identity is a natural place to go. People will soon work out that the uniqueness is best defined by identity and not by IP address or similar. Read it….look out for indentity hijackers and scarcity makers. We are as individuals already scarce – as in unique…we don’t need anyone monetising us. a milestoneContinueContinue reading “Todays Quote – Identity”

Do Subway have a Clue about Beetroot?
Is Subway supressing customer feedback? New Domain: http://www.bringbeetrootback.com I was contacted off blog and alerted to the fact that Beetroot still wasn’t back on the menu in other Australian states, even though it has returned in South Australia. My source commented that there was a “fight internally” going on within the global food franchise toContinueContinue reading “Do Subway have a Clue about Beetroot?”
LongTailJewel, SecondOpinion and NewTailBlog – Affermative Action in the Blogosphere
I see my friend, JP, over on Confused of Calcutta, has picked up on the idea of bringing some equality to the blogosphere by highlighting lesser known bloggers and tagging the post newtailblog. This is right along the lines of what Mike and I picked up on and were discussing back in February through aContinueContinue reading “LongTailJewel, SecondOpinion and NewTailBlog – Affermative Action in the Blogosphere”

Beautiful Creatures
I’ve always tended to over-analyse things. It’s just part of who I am. Songs are no exception. Lately I’ve been captured by the song “Beautiful Creatures” off of Bruce Cockburn’s latest CD. It’s a slow haunting piece with a lot of space and full of beautiful imagery – and as always gobs of passion. “theContinueContinue reading “Beautiful Creatures”
