Set-top is the Reel deal
John Lehmann, JANUARY 12, 2006
PIONEERING broadband TV provider ReelTime has signed a multi-million-dollar distribution deal with 20th Century Fox, which it says will provide access to new release movies months ahead of pay-TV operator Foxtel.

ReelTime, a Sydney-based operator which counts former Network Ten chief executive John McAlpine as a director, is expected to announce its latest Hollywood deal today, only weeks before the March launch of its video-on-demand service in Adelaide.

It will launch its service nationally using Telstra’s broadband network in June, enabling customers to download up to 15,000 movies on to their televisions from a set-top box.

Mike, seems to add weight to your theory of bandwidth that’s going through Adelaide.
