DIY Bottle Cap Tripod

UPDATE: For my take on how this topic recently went balistic, see the post Truth and Traffic on my personal blog.
Back on 14th Feb I posted about a bottle cap that you could buy and turn any bottle into a camera tripod.
Today I got a comment on that post from Jake over at Jake Ludington’s MediaBlab site.
Jake’s made a bottle cap tripod of his own and shares it with us over on his blog in a step-by-step how-to post, repleat with great pictures. A brillianty DIY low-cost solution.
I originally included my post about the bottle cap tripod as a device for people who might have trouble holding a camera - eg: those with arthitic hands etc. But now, with Jake’s DIY approach you can choose your own bottle size - one that fits your hand size and ability - not to mention fashion style!
Jake also has posts on Mounting a Camera to your bike and a DIY Bicycle Camera Mount. These ideas could be easily applied to mounting a camera on a wheelchair.
Good one Jake!
And thanks for the contact. Your connection will go down in the Lifekludger history as the ‘first contact’ into the “maker’ community - something at the heart of the vision.

Thanks so much for the info about the bottlecap device. I’m going to make one as soon as I can get the bits and bobs. Your site is quite interesting and I found it via your posting on the sxip/sxore site. (That one looks more like ship & shore, than skip & score)! I have multiple blogs, as well, but don’t know if it’s a goer for me. I’m bookmarking your site. Cheers!
