Discussion with Andy Delin

Dave just wondering about your new Wiki ...is the idea to actually create solutions on there? ...or to list people? Any thoughts on which direction you expect it to go

The idea is to use it as the place where people can collaborate on projects [things]. So Initially it's to list Makers and their skills. willingness to help and how. And also to list Livers and the [things] that are needed.
First up though I guess I want to have all relevant info about how Lifekludger is meant to work, what iots about. But in reality I'm happy for the community to take it where it needs to go. There may be need for discussion board later bt I think the wiki can be that too. Just say a new page/stub for each [thing] (project). Thanks for interest. Nice to have you back.

I think the more 'concrete' the content, the better the chance of growth. If you make it more like a market, you might get some community developing. One way to do that is to have a page called Requests and another called Projects. The idea is that people place requests for things they need = kludges to solve a problem. Projects are requests that are being worked on by individuals. I also think that having people write requests - what they need - is a good thing: helps everyone understand.
I think that might be more 'concrete' than Suppliers and Makers... perhaps.

Is this meant too to be a place to post those projects? Like, say I've invented something or just had a good idea. Do you want this wiki to be a repository for descriptions, projects, designs, and so on? I was going to personally start a wiki for it but will just as happily collaborate here. --Liz Henry 18:59, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Liz. Yes I think This wiki would be used as a repository for projects. I think Andy's idea [above] to have a Projects & Requests pages is good and we could also have a Resources one where designs and kludges and bits needed can go. The Resources stuff is kind of a subset of "Givers" and "Suppliers". -- --Wikiadmin 09:35, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Sounds good Dave! --Liz Henry 14:48, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
