Voicepic – voice caption your photos

July 10th, 2012 | by dnw |

Voicepic – is an app that allows you to add a 5 second audio recording to any of your photographs and then share them to Facebook or on the Voicepic website, almost instantly.

When I saw this I thought how it’s kind of like the Descriptive Camera and wouldn’t it be neat for the blind if photos could be sent to Amazon’s Mechanical Turk for adding the voice descriptions.

I could see this being useful for those with impairments to their vision. Photos are rarely tagged correctly but a vocal description of a photo could make up for this in many instances.
