Awesome NES Controller Coffee Table
August 7th, 2008 | by dnw |
Kyle, an Aussie no less, has built a ripper coffee table come trunk that actually looks like and operates as a Nintendo controller.
The build quality is great and the finishing touches and attention to detail fantastic. He details the build over on his blog “Ultra Awesome“.
Aside from a great fun project this is a good example of how something fun to make could be usefull for a need – say someone with a disability who has no fine motor control – especially a child.
It seems I’m not the only one who thinks so. In the many comments, another reader, “Anonymous”, also says:
“That could potentially be good for disabled children/adults who can’t negotiate small controllers/buttons.
Maybe they could even use their feet if their hands were worse off.
Just an idea.”
Absolutely it’s an idea. And the idea Kyle had to share his creation is ‘Ultra Awesome’
