Bluetooth SoundBall potential for blind soccer
August 12th, 2007 | by dnw |SoundBall is a ball with sensors that make it emit sounds according to what it’s movement is. The ball transmits what it’s doing via Bluetooth, enabling it to control music and sound through motion.
It’s creator, Aleksei Stevens, calls it a toy. But I reckon if you put it onto a field for blind soccer players you’d have an improved experience over the static bell currently used. The sounds of what the ball is doing, in addition to where it actually is, could offer the players more feedback.
Maybe something similar, on a smaller scale, could be used for the game of Swish too.
