Media Centre Voice Reccognition

The other day the e-HomeUpgrade blog had news and a review about some speech recognition software from OneVoice Technologies. The Media Center Communicator Version 2, is designed to let you talk to and control your Media Center PC.

For the future One Voice Communications is working with other partners on integrating voice command into home automation software that will run on MCE systems.

This seems to me to be the best direction to head as I can’t shake the feeling that the pending release of Vista, and the inclusion of both voice recognition and media centre built-in on many of the Vista versions, may prove to leave little room, long-term, for sraight up voice control of MCE from outside sources.
